Bob Hendicott - Director

 

Bob is an experienced management consultant with a particular interest in performance improvement and the delivery of strategic objectives using programme and project management approaches. His style of programme leadership is based on a pragmatic blend of practical common sense and teamwork applied to tried and tested delivery frameworks. He has successfully supported a range of high profile and challenging programmes at the heart of central government – particularly those associated with the Delivery and Reform Agenda – and in a range of local authorities. Bob works regularly at Board level but also particularly enjoys operating as part of joint delivery teams. He regards coaching and skills transfer as key elements of his consulting offering.

Bob joined the Moorhouse Consulting Team after five years as a Managing Consultant with PA Consulting Group’s public sector practice. Prior to that he was a senior Army officer and brings 25 years’ practical experience of delivering complex programmes and projects as a military engineer supporting intervention operations across the globe.

Qualifications

Bob has an MA in Engineering (II/I) from Queens’ College, Cambridge and is a graduate of the Army Staff College, Cranfield University, and the Joint Services Command and Staff College, where he undertook masters level professional training courses in defence technology, defence management, and strategic defence planning. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultancy and the Association of Project Management, an OGC-accredited centres of excellence consultant and works as part of the OGC Strategic Assignments Consultancy Service.   Bob is a Certified Management Consultant, is PRINCE2 qualified and is a MSP Advanced Practitioner. 

Interests

Outside work, Bob is an Ocean Yachtmaster and keen off-shore racing skipper, enjoys mountaineering, hill-walking and ski-ing, and runs to keep fit and sane (many of his best ideas emerge while running in the countryside around his Salisbury home). He is a father of four and is regularly reminded that he spends too little time with them.
