Duncan Hancox - Manager

Experience

Duncan has a background of project and programme management based consulting, initially developed in the Programme Management practice at Deloitte Consulting where he worked with a variety of private and public sector clients, supporting significant change and implementation initiatives.

Recognising the value of robust and pragmatic project and programme management disciplines, Duncan is also keen on understanding the human impact of change and, as such, places a high value on the communication, coaching and training aspects that are required for successful project delivery.

Immediately prior to joining Moorhouse Consulting, Duncan worked with RSe Consulting, focusing on e-government, social care and partnership working in local and regional authorities. Whilst there, he managed a number of projects to implement neighbourhood and community group website solutions across London boroughs and County Councils.

He also designed and delivered a series of workshops for front line social care practitioners addressing the impact of new information sharing policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Duncan graduated in Classics from Cambridge University, and also holds a postgraduate qualification in Management Studies.  He is PRINCE2 qualified.

Interests

Away from work his main passions revolve around sport and writing. A certified scuba instructor, Duncan spent a year working on the Great Barrier Reef; he also enjoys running (three marathons in 2005) and football (playing for two teams at the weekend). Finally, Duncan is also a certified life coach and, in his remaining spare time, works with a small number of clients addressing challenges of personal fulfilment and growth.
