Esther Robinson - PR Consultant

A former features writer at a national newspaper, Esther was recruited by the former head of marketing at the BBC to join the marketing and communications team at one of the fastest growing niche consultancy’s in the UK.  During this time the company, World Class International, experienced massive growth and change, expanding from 30 consultants to 350 worldwide, winning contracts at Microsoft, Pfizer and the NHS and acquiring a technology company.   Esther managed group communications, events and ran  the entire PR function, achieving regular coverage in national media and key sector publications.

After eight years client side, Esther decided to see what it was like agency side, and spent a happy nine months working for PR guru Lee Peck on the South Coast, managing PR accounts like Snows MINI and Barratt Homes.

Not just satisfied with one career, Esther recently decided to follow a life long dream of writing a novel by studying a Masters in Creative Writing.  She now works as a freelance PR Consultant and is writing her first television script.

Qualifications

Esther read English at University of Greenwich and this year completes her Masters in Creative Writing at the University of Winchester.  She also has a Certificate of Magazine and Newspaper Writing from Highbury College of Journalism.

Interests

Esther is a self confessed film buff and secret James Bond geek.  She is also a football fan (Portsmouth) and enjoys travel, art and spending time with friends and a large family.  She gets great satisfaction from her work as a volunteer for Portsmouth Area Refugee Support, a group that provides mentoring to refugees who have recently gained status in the UK and want to embark on studying or a career.
