Jon has worked in a variety of business backgrounds ranging from blue chip to SME and encompassing both business-to-business and business-to-consumer environments.
Jon is responsible for finance and operations at Moorhouse, his main responsibility being the financial performance of the business. Jon is constantly seeking to improve the quality of the management information – one of the main factors in Moorhouse winning the London Excellence Management Systems award in 2008.
With his Operations hat on Jon is responsible for the office (successfully traversing two moves to bigger premises within the last 3 years), IT and legal and commercial review of all contracts.
Jon began his career at Thomson Holidays, where he enjoyed a number of high profile roles which increasingly diverged from mainstream finance into key strategic and operational positions. Subsequently, he has applied his excellent all-round experience in senior finance positions of several SME businesses.
Most recently, prior to joining Moorhouse, he successfully guided a boutique travel business through a £20m+ management buy-out backed by private equity.

Jon is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) and holds the Institute of Directors' Certificate in Company Direction with Distinction.

Jon lives in Brighton with his wife and two teenage children. He is a season ticket holder at Arsenal (never mind!) and is into his tenth season as treasurer of his local youth football club with over 200 boys and girls on their books. As well as watching sport Jon has rediscovered the pleasure of taking part under the tutorage of an excellent personal trainer who gives him a thorough work-out twice a week.
