Nick is an experienced consultant who specialises in translating strategic intent into action through coordinated and structured change programmes. His expertise is in designing future organisational models to better realise strategic objectives, and establishing the programmes to deliver those models.
He is currently working on the initiation of a large-scale organisational transformation programme in the health sector in response to the changes that will result from the Health & Social Care Bill.
Prior to that he led a business model design project at a leading global gas manufacturer to identify how to exploit opportunities with new customer segments and initiate the programme of work to facilitate this change in focus. Experience includes working in the strategy unit of a central government department supporting the strategic planning and re-prioritization necessary to deliver 30% spending cuts over a three year period, and designing a performance framework to measure success in spite of the constrained budget.
Before becoming a consultant, Nick enjoyed time as an economics teacher, and as such is a skilled communicator and problem-solver. He is able to engage, advise and influence senior decision-makers and works closely with client teams to deliver the biggest impact and facilitate maximum skills transfer.

Qualified with a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and an MSc in Comparative Social Policy, both from the University of Oxford. He is an Associate member of the Association of Project Management and a registered Practitioner in PRINCE2 and MSP. Nick also holds a DSDM Atern, Agile foundation qualification.

Recently married, Nick spends much of his time indulging in his new pastime of DIY on his new home.
He is a keen runner and in 2007 he completed the Marathon des Sables – a 150 mile, 7 day footrace across the Sahara. He plays rugby when time permits, although now tends to enjoy the game more from the sidelines (or the comfort of the sofa). A keen reader and artist, he is a small way through his ambition of writing a book.
Other than sport and literature, Nick's other passion is U.S. Politics and social welfare policy, and he recently fulfilled a lifelong ambition of visiting Washington D.C. He is in the process of planning his next U.S. Politics pilgrimage to Boston to visit the J.F.K presidential library.
