Shan has a number of years experience in project and programme management, gained across a range of public and private sector organisations. He has four years consulting experience with PA Consulting Group, and has worked with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, Department for Transport, BP, Transport for London and the Ministry of Defence among others. He joined Moorhouse Consulting from an Executive Agency of the Home Office incorporated under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, and has recent experience of the criminal justice and criminal intelligence sectors.
Shan's consulting work encompasses large scale business change management and public service delivery improvement. His key areas of specialism are stakeholder management, quality and process improvement and project and programme assurance, particularly in an outsourced supplier environment in large IT programmes and projects.
His experience has taught him that quite often the simplest measures deliver the greatest benefits, and attention to detail in stakeholder management is essential in creating the right environment to deliver results.
Qualifications
Shan holds a degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology. He has PRINCE2 Practitioner project management accreditation, as well as the ITIL Service Management Foundation accreditation, and has a wide range of technology qualifications which support his assurance capability.
Interests
Outside of work, Shan is a keen amateur musician, playing the guitar and drums, currently playing the latter in a band which plans to start live performances some time soon. He has a fascination for languages, and likes to keep fit, particularly cycling and running. In his remaining spare time he is occupied by his young son who was born in April 2007, and who in practice ensures that there is no time for the aforementioned pursuits.
