Simon lives in Surrey with his wife and young family. His passion for travel, love of languages, foreign cultures and travel literature has taken him to many parts of the globe as explorer, conservationist, teacher and agricultural adviser. He is a lover of the great outdoors with regular trekking visits to the Lake District fells (his homeland) and the Scottish Highlands. Simon is a keen skier, runner and tennis player - all sports in which his enthusiasm far outweighs his natural ability. He also finds time to perform at least 3 times a year, as crooner and keyboard player with his two amateur bands (both, as yet, un-signed).
