Simon has over 10 years' consultancy experience on large-scale organisational change programmes. He joined Moorhouse after spending 5 years in Deloitte's Programme Leadership practice.
Simon leads Moorhouse's Health & Pharmaceuticals sector team and has worked extensively across the sector from central government, the NHS, to global pharmaceuticals companies and the health sector regulator. He has been involved in designing and implementing a number of strategic reviews and large-scale programmes in the sector, including various components of the National Programme for IT, the Health Informatics Review, Lord Darzi's Next Stage Review and the latest NHS reforms.
Simon's professional expertise spans many areas of strategic programme management and delivery, with a particular interest in portfolio management, programme assurance and client capability enhancement. He recently managed Moorhouse's engagement to embed enterprise portfolio management across AstraZeneca's $1bn IS business. Prior to this, he led a high-profile assurance review of the BBC's London 2012 programme.
Previous clients include Defra, HMRC, HP, Vodafone, MoD and Transport for London, where Simon was part of the core Oyster Card launch team in 2003.

Simon has a First Class degree in German and Business Studies from Warwick University and studied at the Universität Mannheim, Germany, as part of the European Integrated Management Programme. He is an accredited PRINCE2 and MSP advanced practitioner, is a Member of the Institute of Consulting (IC) and the Association for Project Management (APM), a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and holder of the APM's Practitioner Qualification (PQ). Simon was awarded the IC's Customer Focus award in 2011 in recognition of his work in the NHS.

Simon lives in Surrey with his wife and young family. His passion for travel, love of languages, foreign cultures and travel literature has taken him to many parts of the globe as explorer, conservationist, teacher and agricultural adviser. He is a lover of the great outdoors with regular trekking visits to the Lake District fells (his homeland) and the Scottish Highlands. Simon is a keen skier, runner and tennis player - all sports in which his enthusiasm far outweighs his natural ability. He also finds time to perform at least 3 times a year, as crooner and keyboard player with his two amateur bands (both, as yet, un-signed).
