Tim Phillips - Director

 

Experience

Tim has been delivering projects and programmes in large public and private sector organisations for many years. He started his career as an engineer but has spent the last six years as a management consultant and a programme manager.

Tim joined us from Marks and Spencer where he worked as a Corporate Programme Manager leading their strategic change initiatives. Previously he was a Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Programme Leadership practice. His main area of expertise is in programme delivery where he has an enviable track record of success. His watch words are “Delivery, Delivery, Delivery”; he also has significant practical experience of initiating and facilitating the strategic decision making process – in order to ensure the right programmes are being implemented.

Qualifications

Tim is a chartered engineer, has a Masters and a first class degree in engineering, an MBA from the Cranfield School of management, programme management accreditation (PMP, MSP Advanced Practitioner). Tim is also a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultancy, a Certified Management Consultant and a member of the Association of Project Management.

Interests

Tim has a young daughter who takes up much of his time but when not at ‘softplay’ he enjoys all kinds of mountain pursuits: mountaineering, mountain marathons and mountain biking. A glutton for punishment, Tim appeared on the 2003 BBC TV reality show ‘SAS Are you tough enough?’. Here he survived the rigours of SAS selection and jungle training to be one of the surviving four contestants out of an initial line up of hundreds.
