Tom Davidson - Manager

Experience

Tom has broad experience in project and programme management (PPM) including the establishment of a PMO for the global HR transformation of a major bank, definition of the finance function strategy for a MOD department and implementation of a systems augmentation for the state of New Hampshire.

Previously Tom worked for the Advisory division with Deloitte and as a commercial management accountant for Coca-Cola & Schweppes - focused on defining and providing the right information to manage the business. Tom also worked as an engineer, and subsequently a management accountant, at British Rail.

One of Tom’s professional ‘missions’ is to promote the alignment of all project-based effort with the objectives of an organisation. This is a ‘common thread’ across his experiences - in delivery of programmes, projects, organisational design and performance management systems.

Qualifications

Tom has a Masters degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA). He is a qualified PRINCE2 and MSP Advanced Practitioner.

Interests

Outside of work Tom is passionate about Racing Sailing (RYA Qualified Class Coach) – he and his team consistently teeter on the edge of minor glory. Or at least that’s what he consistently tells his colleagues. Tom also enjoys global travel; he reads widely about the world and does his best to experience it through hill walking and sailing – most recently to New Zealand, South Africa, and Peru.
