PPM Capability Framework and Tools Focusing capability development Developing an internal Project and Programme Management (PPM) capability is a ‘hot issue’ for many organisations. This seminar will seek to examine the challenges of measuring and capturing PPM-focused competencies as a platform on which to focus capability development efforts. We will look at the latest tools as well as how leading organisations are tackling the related challenge of demonstrably linking capability maturity with improved programme benefit realisation. Guest speaker: Paul Hodgkins, Deputy Head of Corporate Governance Process, Siemens Introducing Paul Hodgkins Paul Hodgkins joined Reliance Systems (part of the GEC group and later acquired by Siemens) in 1984 as an Assistant Project Engineer. Over the next few years he was promoted rapidly through the organisation, managing a number of successful multi-million £ projects and programmes and achieving a National Sales Award in 2002. He’s now the Programme Executive tasked with enhancing PPM capability across Siemens UK and in supporting this drive across North West Europe. This has involved implementing a robust competency framework and associated evaluation toolset and has been key to significantly enhancing individuals’ capability levels. He is currently driving benefits at an organisational level, optimising the match of individuals to project needs and enhancing recruitment, project resourcing and career progression processes.
