Moorhouse nominated for two consulting awards

Moorhouse Consulting has been short listed for two prestigious prizes at this year’s Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) Awards.

Based on their pioneering programme and project management (PPM) work for client Transport for London, the PPM specialists are nominated for ‘The most effective consulting project demonstrating the importance of a strong client/consultant relationship’. And after making ‘Runner Up’ in 2006, the team is also short listed in the category of ‘The most active practice in the field of professional standards,’ in recognition of their ongoing commitment to raising standards in the industry.

Managing director Dom Moorhouse said he was delighted that the industry’s leading body had acknowledged his team’s hard work and dedication.

Dom said: “Consultants often get derided for working in an unregulated industry with scant regard for professional standards. These awards demonstrate that, with the IBC’s leadership, the industry is becoming more accountable. I am delighted that our efforts in supporting this agenda are being recognised.”

Dom continued: “To also be nominated for work that demonstrates our excellent client relationships is a real honour. We are a team of thirty-five consultants, all originally from global management consultancy firms, who moved to a smaller practice in order to build our own unique brand – focused on the highest standards of client delivery and success. This nomination proves that what we are doing is both leading edge and delighting the client – both of which mean a great deal to us.”

The award winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at The Savoy Hotel on 6 December and the evening will reward all those who have excelled in UK business consulting in 2007.

The nominations cap a successful twelve months for Moorhouse. The team were finalists at the recent Association of Project Management Awards, and made the list of ‘Fastest Growing Firms’ and ‘Top 75 Management Consultancies’ earlier in the year.

Dom smiles: “It’s been a fantastic year for us already…however, as we were Runners Up at the 2006 IBC Awards – to go one better this time would be the icing on the cake!”
