Moorhouse reaffirms commitment to the management consultancy sector

Carrie Oliver

Award winning programme and project management firm Moorhouse Consulting has made a new appointment to its leadership team, with the promotion of Carrie Oliver from Principal to Director.

Ex Big Five consultant Carrie, who has twelve years experience advising senior public sector clients in the UK and the US, has impressed both customers and colleagues alike with her pro-active attitude and engaging consulting manner since joining Moorhouse in July.

Managing director Dom Moorhouse said the decision to promote Carrie had been a simple one. Dom explains: "From the moment Carrie came on board, she quickly impressed with her innovative ideas for the business; she wasted no time in winning new work with the Department for Transport (DfT) - putting us centre stage on one of most strategic transport programmes in the country."

"In the short time she has been with us, Carrie has also proved to be the consummate professional - her passion for client delivery is unsurpassed - possibly matched only by her somewhat zany, but infectious, sense of humour. We are delighted to have her not only lending her expertise to key clients, but also contributing to how we grow and shape our company."

Carrie, an American Canadian who made London her home in 2003, said she was thrilled with her new appointment and the direction Moorhouse Consulting was moving in.

Carrie said: "Moorhouse is one of the UK's leading PPM specialists with a particularly strong transport practice. Since I'm passionate about problem solving in the most challenging of environments - working in the UK transport sector with Moorhouse and client colleagues is a great fit."

Carrie continued: "Not only have I been lucky enough to join a team who are professionally stimulating and supportive, I am now engaged in work at DfT to implement the findings of the Eddington Report. This involves developing an investment framework that encourages cross-modal, environmentally sustainable transport solutions - in order to maintain UK economic competitiveness. If we are successful, it will change the way new air, road and rail projects are delivered in the future. It really doesn't get much more exciting than that."
