Moorhouse awarded top industry prizes 11-12-09

It will be a very merry Christmas for all at Moorhouse this year! The programme and project management (PPM) advisory specialists received top honours at the Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) Annual Awards last week, when they were crowned 'Consulting Practice of the Year', and consultant Jason Byrne, 'Management Consultant of the Year'.

Managing director Dom Moorhouse said it had been another outstanding year for his team.

Dom said: “To win two important awards at one of the industry's leading celebrations is fantastic. The fact that the voting panel is made up of leading UK  industry and subject matter experts makes the win extra special – we are all delighted and very proud.”

Moorhouse's pioneering PPM work with clients such as BT, CAA, Lloyds of London, Ministry of Justice and Transport for London, its unique 'values based' culture and dedication to improving industry standards played a major contribution in its win for 'Best Practice'. The judging panel also applauded Jason Byrne's individual efforts and exemplar consulting provided to his client, the Department of Health, when naming him 'Consultant of the Year'. The team was actually unlucky to miss out on a hat trick – with Yvette Kubica narrowly beaten in the category for 'Customer Delight' for her work with Bedfordshire Police.

It has been a successful twelve months for Moorhouse, who last November were named the Association of Project Management's 'Project Management Company of the Year' and earlier this year picked up two London Excellence Awards for Best Management Systems and Leadership.

Dom concluded: “I'm delighted to say that the team's hard work and client-focused commitment just keeps paying off.  Despite the economic recession, we are continuing to win new business, and helping current clients with some of the UK's most important transformation programmes.  I couldn't be more proud of what we have collectively achieved.”
