Moorhouse partner with FT to help companies get more from their change programmes 24-08-09

Moorhouse is delighted to announce an alliance with the Financial Times (FT).

The programme and project management advisory specialists have formed a new partnership with the UK's leading broadsheet that will give public and private sector organisations fresh insight into how they can maximise the benefits of their change initiatives.

Hundreds of senior programme leaders in the UK are taking part in research into how they currently realise benefits from their organisational change activities, and the results will be published in a post-survey report, followed by the development of a thought  leadership publication that will examine areas of best practice and commonality, and offer guidance on how to improve results in the future.

Moorhouse Director Bob Hendicott explained that with many companies implementing change initiatives to stay competitive in the current climate, it was especially timely to learn how to maximise the benefits sought.

Bob said: “In our experience, organisations across the UK have very different levels of capability and success when it comes to realising benefits from their change programmes, and many fall a long way short of providing a good return on investment."

“The purpose of Moorhouse/FT research is to understand the current state of play, particularly in those organisations undertaking transformation activities. The research will examine how many of those companies realised the desired benefits of change, what approaches and tools were used, and what barriers existed."

“We will then share the lessons learned and any best practice with the wider business community.”

Stefan Stern, Management Writer, FT said: “Change is is on every manager's agenda and yet our attempts to manage change, or at least stay on top of it, often end in disappointment. So we are delighted to be partnering with Moorhouse on this important topic, and through our research will be looking to clarify for business leaders both the strategic importance of organisational change, and the most effective ways to ensure it delivers the right benefits.”
