Moorhouse win Leadership award 16-07-09

Programme and project management advisory specialists Moorhouse have won a prestigious prize for their leadership capabilities at the 2009 London Excellence Awards.

The Association of Project Management's 'Project Management Company of the Year', who also won an award for 'Best Management Systems' in 2008, were one of four finalists in the Leadership category - where companies were asked to prove how they use visionary and inspirational leadership that achieves a constancy of purpose throughout the organisation.

Managing Director Dom Moorhouse said he was delighted that his team's collective leadership abilities had been acknowledged.

Dom said: “As a consultancy firm that advises the leaders of some of the UK's highest profile change programmes, it is vital that the Moorhouse leadership team sets its own bar high - in terms of direction setting and the translation of our own vision into effective actions that, in turn, enable us to inspire and make a difference to customers, partners and colleagues on a daily basis.”

“These are tough economic times and strong leadership is required to realise the full potential inherent within our team.  At Moorhouse, we have worked hard to develop ways of working that encourage us to think innovatively and act with tempo and agility - encouraging others to do the same.”

Recent awards and new project wins with customers such as Bedfordshire Police, Office of the Public Guardian, London Development Agency, Department of Health and the Civil Aviation Authority bear this out.

Dom concluded: “We are delighted our commitment to outstanding leadership has been recognised by the London Excellence Award committee."
