We then analyse and prioritise these taking a holistic view to determine actions to avoid, mitigate or capitalise upon them, as appropriate. This may manifest itself in the identification of new projects whose primary objective is to mitigate a particular risk or seize an opportunity, or it may be that the necessary interventions are already incorporated into existing programmes or projects.

We often create a small team, staffed from your organisation, to monitor and control strategic risks and opportunities, and to recommend action on an ongoing  basis. This team can also consider escalated programme and project issues, thereby joining up this dimension of programme activity with business as usual.

We typically work in small, joint clientconsultant teams to create a robust approach to strategic risk management in your organisation. We also work closely
with managers at all levels to promote the necessary behavioural changes required to embed risk management throughout the business.We use language that you
understand – supported by approaches that you can follow. We transfer our skills to your staff with responsibility for managing these strategic risks and opportunities.

Tools & training we can provide

We have a number of simple and easy to use tools for the capture and analysis of strategic risks. Additionally, skills transfer is a standard part of our approach and this will grow your capability in this important area.

Moreover, we believe in the importance of raising appropriate levels of awareness of strategic risks within a business – we therefore promote awareness training across the organisation.
