What are we looking for? 

This exciting new role will become a key pillar of our operations function and is at the heart of Moorhouse’s continued growth ambition as one of the UK’s market-leading consultancy firms. Our Bid Manager will be responsible for the shaping and management of all the bid activity for Moorhouse.

As Bid Manager you will:

  • • Act as the custodian of proposals and procurement documentation (PQQs, ITTs, Framework Bids etc) that are developed for Moorhouse
  • • Be involved from the start of our business development process (including the bid/no bid process) and provide an advisory role to our senior leadership team on whether we should be targeting an opportunity to bid 
  • • Work closely with our Consulting and Operations teams to ensure the right people are assigned to produce bids and proposals for clients
  • • Manage your time effectively to support the creation of the most strategically important bids, whilst providing consultative support and insight for smaller responses
  • • Help ensure that bids are submitted accurately and on time 
  • • Enhance and evolve our bid response process, to help us achieve an effective, repeatable process for responding to bids within Moorhouse
  • • Ensure that bid materials and intellectual property created is appropriately stored on our KM platforms and shared internally
  • • Act as a reviewer of bids and proposals to help us maintain a consistent quality, tone of voice and clarity in the materials we present to clients

To help your success in this role, you will have:

  • • A strong understanding of the UK consulting market and experience in producing business development materials for prospective clients 
  • • Strong project management skills with an ability to manage a backlog of work, prioritise time and deliverables and achieve time-critical deadlines
  • • Great people skills, and be able to work effectively with Moorhouse senior management 
  • • Excellent attention to detail when producing and reviewing written material
  • • The ability to shape and develop new processes, with a drive for continuous improvement
  • • Strong team management with ability to manage a team of up to 10 people
  • • Creative skills to produce compelling and visually appealing written materials 

What we can offer you: 

  • A total cash package of up to £61,250 comprising of a base salary of £50,000 and a combination of personal and company bonuses that are paid every six months
  • 25 days annual leave increasing by one day for every full year of service to a maximum of 30 days with the option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave per year

Our offices are based near Holborn Circus (close to Blackfriars and Chancery Lane) although you can expect to spend most of your time as part of a team on client site. That’s where the magic really happens!
