About the team

As a member of the People & Talent team you will have an opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping and leading people services in a fast-growing and successful consulting firm. About your role

The People and Talent Manager role is a new role, reporting to the People Director, with plenty of opportunity to really make an impact. The role encompasses:

Employee engagement – Taking ownership of employee engagement surveys, creating action plans, engaging with employee groups at all levels and recommending how to keep our talented people engaged with Moorhouse.

Continuous policy development – Ensuring our policies are up-to-date, understanding what our people need and value, leading on the development of best practice and maintaining the relevance of our policies.

Acting as the lead People and Talent Advisor – We operate through a structure of Talent Trees, each with it’s own P&T Advisor. You will act as a P&T Advisor to a number of Talent Trees, as well as supporting the other P&T Advisors with policy advice and case management.

Performance management – Supporting the performance management process. Ongoing development of performance management and competency frameworks.

Working model – Taking a lead on enabling flexible working at all levels in the business, supporting employees based outside London and supporting an inclusive workplace.

Ad hoc projects – Working with the P&T Team and consultant colleagues on initiatives to advance our employee value proposition.

About you

- Proven experience in an HR manger, advisory or business partnering role.
- CIPD qualification.
- Current knowledge of employment law, with experience of applying legislation to current work issues.
- Commercial and strategic acumen.
- Experience implementing policy and practice changes.
- Experience with employee case management (sickness, wellbeing, performance issues, grievance etc)
- A positive, collaborative and flexible approach.
- To enjoy working with a motivated team in a fast-paced environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Comfort with ambiguity and excellent problem solving skills.
- Robust planning and organisation capability.
- To communicate clearly and use diplomacy where required.
- Proficiency in all MS Office packages, particularly Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel and Teams. Willingness to use software packages that may be unfamiliar.

Package and Location

- Total cash package of around £60,000, comprising of a base salary of £50,000 and a combination of personal and company bonuses to enable you to share in the company’s success

Our offices are based near Holborn Circus in central London. We are currently working flexibly, and you will have the opportunity to work from a mixture of the office and home. We have plans to move our office in 2022 to the Liverpool Street area.
