Who?
A global, multi-entity, pharmaceutical company that has been Moorhouse’s client for eight years.
The Challenge
The company’s newly created Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) Office needed support to gain greater visibility and recognition across the firm and successfully and positively engage the employee population. In particular, the ED&I Office required:
- Support to implement its various programmes and projects with rigour and structure,
- Align its activities with their corporate goals and priorities,
- Strong Change Management practices to be implemented across projects to enable full adoption and pull through across the organisation.
How we helped
Moorhouse implemented best practice PM governance from the outset to develop a clear strategy and provide organisational structure to deliver ED&I support and guidance across the company.
Our solutions included:
- Monitoring tools and methods to track the progress of various ED&I Office initiatives such as data management, events, communication and engagement, and specific ED&I training for employees.
- Enhanced stakeholder engagement and development of a coordinated approach between the ED&I Office and the Corporate Communication team.
- Communication and planning: we set up a fortnightly call and launched a reporting pack and actions to drive synergy and transparency on external/internal communications.
Outcomes
Moorhouse embedded project and change management expertise into ED&I projects, enabling the office to deliver them on time and at the required quality level.
Our action led to:
- Enhanced reporting and governance structures and the decision-making processes.
- Improved stakeholder engagement and cross-function coordination, enabling the client to better understand ED&I project dependencies and potential areas of effort duplication.
- Enriched project tracking and reporting for the ED&I Office thanks to the introduction of PPM principles.
- Greater visibility on projects’ progress for senior stakeholders.
